Trackule (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a personal habit and activity tracking application. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1.1 Data You Provide
Account Information (optional)
If you choose to create an account for cloud sync, we collect:
- Email address
- Password (encrypted, never stored in plain text)
Tracking Data
The app stores the items you track and their entries. This may include:
- Titles and descriptions of things you track
- Values you record (numbers, text, yes/no responses, times, etc.)
- Timestamps of when you record entries
1.2 Data Collected Automatically
We do not collect any analytics, usage data, or device information automatically. The app functions without an internet connection and does not phone home.
2. How We Store Your Data
2.1 Local Storage
All your tracking data is stored locally on your device using a secure database. This data never leaves your device unless you enable cloud sync.
2.2 Cloud Storage (Optional)
If you create an account, your data is synchronised to our cloud service, which is hosted by Supabase. Supabase stores data in secure data centres within the European Union.
Your data is protected by:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL)
- Encryption at rest
- Row-level security (you can only access your own data)
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to:
- Provide the app’s functionality
- Sync your data across devices (if you opt in)
- Send you account-related emails (e.g., email verification)
We do not:
- Sell your data to third parties
- Share your data with advertisers
- Use your data for profiling or behavioural analysis
- Access your tracking data for any purpose other than providing the service
4. Data Sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties, except:
- Supabase – our cloud infrastructure provider, which processes data on our behalf
- Legal requirements – if required by law, we may disclose data to authorities
5. Your Rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access your data – you can export your data from the app at any time
- Rectification – you can edit any of your tracking data within the app
- Erasure – you can delete individual entries, items, or your entire account
- Data portability – you can export your data in a standard format
- Withdraw consent – you can delete your account and we will remove your data from our servers

6. Data Retention
- Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app
- Cloud data is retained while you have an active account
- If you delete your account, your cloud data is permanently deleted within 30 days
7. Children’s Privacy
Trackule is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email.
The “Last updated” date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised.
